Introduction:

We are a group of Radiologists, who are keen on teaching and promoting the use of OsiriX as a DICOM viewer for teaching and examination purposes in the United Kingdom.

This also is an effort to streamline a nationally agreed consensus on the pattern of case collection and use of agreed common settings, to achieve a national standard for Radiology education.

The website is the result of a demand from the group, at the '1st UK OsiriX User Group Meeting' organised by Dr Mary Roddie at Hammersmith Hospital, London on the 18th January 2012

The meeting summary can be accessed by visiting the website:

Vision:

1. Establish a common platform and streamline the use of OsiriX in teaching Radiology

2. Provide a rapid access user friendly "How-To-Tips, presentations and video tutorials"

3. One-stop terminal with a discussion forum for trouble-shooting and providing links to the software

4. Realistic goal of achieving standards for examining candidates in the VIVA component of the FRCR 2B examination
